Okay, so we've come down to three games left.
Here's how it stands:
Me
75 Points
42 Correct Picks
91 Possible Points
Eugene
65 Points
34 Correct Picks
113 Possible Points
It all boils down to two games.
Florida v UCLA:
I picked UCLA in my Final Four, but Eugene had picked both games. We both have UCLA winning this game, which would give us both 16 points (leaving the 10 point lead to me). If UCLA loses, I win the brackets.
And if UCLA beat Florida...
UCLA v Ohio St/Georgetown:
I picked North Carolina to win it all, but they're out of it. So, Eugene still has a lifeline in UCLA. If they win, he wins.
So, UCLA must win their next two games for Eugene to win, but odds are against him...
GO ALL THE OTHER TEAMS!!!
So here's how it stands...
Me - 36 correct picks of 48 played games, correctly picking 11 of the sweet 16 (47 points)
Eugene - 29 correct picks of 48 played games, correctly picking 8 of the sweet 16 (37 points)
We both have one team knocked out of our final four.
I already have 2 wrong picks in the Elite 8, but Eugene has 3 wrong in that as well.
As I was worried about Wisconsin (lost), I am now very worried about Ohio State. They barely got by against Xavier. It doesnt hurt Me v Eugene though, because our picks are all the same for that whole fourth of the bracket.
I dunno about UCLA either, they have a pretty tough schedule ahead of them. Georgetown may help me, or they may kill me. If they win one more, and then lose to North Carolina, then I'll be overjoyed. They shouldn't have trouble getting over Vanderbuilt. (They beat them by 16 earlier this year)
Though most will see UNLV as the big upset team, I see USC as very, very surprising. They smoked Texas, they smoked them all the way. (Great game Kevin Durant).
Though Eugene thinks he still has a chance, we both have similar teams going on. Florida can give him a few sympathy points, which is pretty much the only way he has a chance at it.
I found a website that streams EPL games for free. epltalk.com, on Saturday and Sunday mornings (and other times as well) stream the 'good' games. I watch ManU destroy Bolton 4-1, and Chelsea hammer Sheffield United 3-0. Then we lost our indoor game.
Later I watched the second half of Butler v Maryland. Butler showed more composure down the stretch, and they won by 3. Good thing I went against Maryland in the brackets, I'm totally destroying Eugene. Ha Ha Ha!
